Screens and emulsion and pattern, oh my!
The acetate prints will be transferred to the screens through the process of light and emulsion. The black indicates where the dye will be on the fabric. This design is set up to be a repeat…meaning repetition of the screens will line up to create one continuous pattern on a bolt of fabric.
The finished screens! I’ve never seen pink emulsion before – I like it!

Well, I finally bought some supplies from the artstore. I have been trying to figure out what to buy for about three years now, so I finally just bought some Speedball stuff. We’ll see how it works out. It is not like what we used in Denmark. If it doesn’t work, I’ll research that screenprinting store on Varick Street. I’m sure they would have everything I need. I’ll keep you posted on the results.
